Studio Apartment Housing, Berkeley, CA

ZETA and award winning Berkeley developer Panoramic Interests are collaboratively designing the first SmartSpaces® apartments - a new concept for dense, infill dwellings that are stylish, efficient and economical. The project, consisting of 22 studio units, will be four-stories on grade and is being designed for LEED Platinum Certification. The 5,600-square-foot site, a model for urban infill development, has a walkability score of 94 and is close to BART, UC Berkeley and retail services. The car-free development was unanimously approved by Berkeley's Zoning Adjustments Board in the initial hearing. Total construction time, from rough grading to Certificate of Occupancy, is estimated to be 90 days.
